Lead Nuts

Another process critical part for the rubber industry.

We were given a worn out nut and also the corresponding 3 metre lead screw.

From the twin lead, trapezoidal screw, we had to make a casting of the thread form, as no gauges were available for this one off part.

We had specialised insert tooling made for the special thread form and were able to produce the required nut within 1 week of the initial enquiry.

We have also produced a spare nut and logged all manufacturing data, so this enquiry wont be so urgent for our client, next time round.
