Half Track

The restoration of a piece of farm machinery meant reverse engineering of rusty links used to hold the separate pieces of track together. From an old link we were able to produce a 3D model and drawing, followed by a 3D print of the link to prove fitment before they were all committed to be laser cut. We also saw an opportunity to enhance the performance of the tracks by adding 300 steel roller tubes which slipped over the joining pins of each track link before assembly. A perfect job for the auto saw and lathe.
